Enrolments

A child is guaranteed enrolment at Hampton Senior High School if their usual place of residence is within the local intake area; they are an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia or hold an approved temporary residence visa; and are under the age of eighteen years of age. All children whose usual residence is within the local intake area require an Enrolment Application form to be submitted by the first Friday of Term 3 each year to begin enrolment. The priority for students who live outside the local intake area is in the following order:

• A child who is accepted into a specialist program, including Approved Specialist Programs (secondary schools).
• A child with a sibling enrolled at the school for that year; this does not include a sibling who has gained enrolment through specialist programs, including Approved Specialist Programs (secondary schools).
• A child who lives closest to the school (not closest to the boundary of a local intake area school).

Enrolment Process

Enrolment at Hampton Senior High School is a two-stage process.

1. Application for Enrolment – A parent or responsible person lodges an Application for Enrolment form with the school. The Principal will consider the information provided and determine if the child is eligible for enrolment. By lodging the completed application, the applicant is requesting consideration for enrolment by the Principal based on true, complete and accurate disclosure of required information. All applications will receive a response at the earliest convenience of the school.
2. Enrolment – If your child is eligible for enrolment, you will be provided with further information by the College and required to complete an Enrolment form. The school may request further information to support the planning for an appropriate education program for your child.
